Technical Services

SBSTech (SBS Technical Services) provides innovative, reliable, and accessible information technology services to faculty, staff, and students in the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences to help the College and its constituents achieve their goals as a learning and research community. The services that SBSTech offers include desktop/laptop support, research and instructional computing support, data management and server administration, web and multi-media production, application development, and IT purchasing support.

Welcome to SBS

Technical Services

SBSTech got its start in the mid1990s by offering IT support to the Deans’ Office and a few other units among the College. In 2006, SBSTech transformed into a centralized IT support unit and began serving all of the units in the College. We now manage 14 buildings and many offsite locations including UADowntown, the Tankersley House and other college properties. In 2016, SBSTech expand its IT service to VP office, Business Affair and Human Resources as an effort to collaborate and share resources campus wide.

Our mission is to help the College achieve its goal of academic innovation in teaching, learning, and research by providing reliable, timely and strategic IT solutions for all faculty and staff.

In pursuit of this mission, SBS Tech's goals are to:

Provide responsive, cost effective and quality information technology services that meet the needs of the SBS community.

our workflow

1. TicketDog

Need help? Submit a ticket via ticketdog.arizona.edu describing your question or problem. We are here to help with IT support including but not limited to: computer support, networking, website, media, research and video production.

2. Tech Responses

Our team constantly monitors TicketDog throughout each work day. One of our staff members will answer your submitted ticket within a few hours, except during holiday or off-business hours.

3. Team Work

Our teamwork culture ensures that every job request from you is well taken care of. The problems and issues will be solved quickly. If not, our technicians will route you to the best resources that we know of.

4. Recommendation

Your tech needs are being met by our team of professionals who will go the extra mile to provide you with the best resolutions possible. Our trained technicians will work with you and will make recommendations for your technology needs.

5. Follow Up

SBSTech is committed to making sure your problems and requests are handled in a manner that satisfies your needs. Please keep in mind that your tickets will also be recorded in TicketDog and will remain available whenever you need to refer to them. This is beneficial because it allows us to reference back to how your request was dealt with in the past, so we are able to continue improving our solutions for you in the future.
